Is this the rumored iOven?

Recently various rumors have started around this job posting at Apple, suggesting the multi-billion-dollar company has suddenly expressed a profound interest in the art of pizza-cooking.

“At least 2-4 years of experience working a high volume wood burning pizza oven featuring thin crust, Neapolitan style pizza.”

As the posting suggests, Apple is looking for experienced pizza cooks. Following the posting, pundits and people familiar with the matter were quick to suggest that Apple wants a slice of the pizza business.

One supplier of pizza oven parts has gone on the record to say this about the matter:

“I can confirm that we were recently contacted by Apple. They seemed very interested in large quantities of heat-resistant brushed aluminum. We’re still waiting for them to place their order.”

Many skeptics have been quick to dismiss the rumors, and admittedly even I was skeptical, until I found this picture in my mailbox this morning:

iOven

The source suggests this is a bolted down, pre-production, pizza-cooking device that will be available later this year in black or white. The picture is a little blurry, but, could this be the iOven?

Apple declined to comment on the rumor.

How I feel about Xcode at this point is more or less how Steve felt about Flash at the time. I took his open letter and slightly altered it to fit Xcode in, more or less in his own words.
